There are eight Country Parks
The New Forest
Lepe Country Park which is a coastal Country Park in the New Forest National Park. There are stunning views across the Solent to the Isle of Wight. With over a mile of beach, pine fringed cliffs, historic D-Day remains and wild flower meadows, Lepe is a great day out, whether you want to relax and take in the view or do something a bit more energetic.Country park on the shores of the Solent - ideal place to picnic, watch sailboards, fish or swim. Also children's playground. Access to park free, but car parking is charged. Wildlife and historic interest. Dog-free and dog-welcome beaches. Barbecue grill (pre-booking essential).

Winchester
Farley Mount Country Park On the downs a few miles west of Winchester lies Farley Mount Country Park, a large area of open country and woods, including chalk down grass land, Forestry Commission plantation and Crabwood which is Ancient woodland Local Nature Reserve. The Clarendon Way long distance footpath runs through the site and at the highest point there is a pyramid shaped folly that gives the park its name. Many groups begin their day's activities exploring the wider countryside by meeting at the Park, and moving on to use the extensive system of all types of Rights of Way that surround the area.The Country Park is open 24 hours a day, all year round and is free to enter. Some areas may have temporary restrictions eg. West Wood during forestry operations. Warning signs are posted at these times.

Within The Solent
The Royal Victoria Country Park is the site of a Victorian military hospital. Set in parkland overlooking Southampton Water. It provides ideal facilities for children and peace of mind for parents to enjoy a safe environment. The relaxing and happy atmosphere is complemented by a calendar of events, exhibitions, barbeque sites and walks. Also the Heritage Centre. Tearoom, shop, miniature railway and play areaThe Chapel and its Exhibition are currently closed for repairs. The Park Information Centre and Shop have been relocated to the main Park building near the Cedar Tea Rooms.

The Manor Farm Country Park on the banks of the River Hamble near Botley, Manor Farm offers 400 acres of woodland and open space. Itchen Valley Country Park There are 440 acres of woodland and meadows to explore in this small country park on the outskirts of Southampton. A large area of unspoilt countryside beside the River Itchen, managed for public enjoyment and wildlife.The rural beauty of the park through the seasons can be enjoyed along the paths and trails taking you through woodland, water meadows, pasture and hay fields. A forest trail provides access for people with special needs. The park also offers picnic areas, play areas, barbecue sites, orienteering and other activities such as pond dipping and Ollie Owl trail. High Wood Barn provides interactive displays, gift shop and cafe.
